Happy Holidays

Today is Christmas Day for those of us who celebrate Christmas. As I sit here writing this morning I feel tremendously blessed. Not because I have so many things, no not at all, but rather because I have the love and encouragement of my family and friends. As a matter of fact this year I haven’t had the money to spend on gifts at all and yet I feel way more content. Could it be because we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ being too commercialized? I love giving people gifts and seeing their faces light up as they open it. This year though, I’ve had to create experiences to get that same response and guess what I found out? When you focus on the true Gift to us during this season and less on what gift to give someone, you get in touch with the feeling Christ intended us to celebrate during this Holy Season.
