Forever In My Heart
This is the season that people get busy running around buying gifts for loved ones and spending quality time with family. There’s nothing better than sharing love laughter and great conversations with the ones you love.
What about those of us who have lost loved ones? We spend lots of time trying to avoid scenarios that will toss our memories back to a place in time that we can never experience again. So many people are battling with grief everyday. We have family members being lost to drug habits, becoming incarcerated, dying, divorcing, drifting apart. My heart gets heavy just thinking about it.
Grief is an emotion that must be dealt with. You can’t go around it, you can only ignore it for so long - You must go through it. Being aware that almost everyone we encounter is either grieving someone or something currently makes us more sensitive to how we speak to one another. Be careful out here in this world. Each individual is a living breathing person with a soul. They may have been short with you because they are hurting or perhaps you remind them of someone they’ve lost. Be gentle…
Any day is a great time for us to go out of our way for one another. Little things mean so very much. We can touch a person’s life in the most compassionate way by doing something small like paying for their coffee. I was in line at the grocery store one day and a beautiful lady came up to me and asked if she could pay for my purchase. It made my day.
Be kind…. it’s really ok…
Matthew 5:4
KJV Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
